Coaching Acheivements

Age Group improvement

Brad Cole started in 2010. Adam helped Brad complete is first Noosa triathlon in 2011 where he posted a time of 2hours 22min. In 2012 Brad posted a massive PB of 2hours and 16min. He then went on to complete his first 70.3 Ironman that season in Geelong.

Nathan Taylor started in 2015. Adam helped Nathan complete his first IRONMAN in 2016 at Port Macquarie. He finished in a time of 9 hours and 43 minutes, while doing this he came 5th in the 40-44 age group & qualified for the 2016 IRONMAN World Triathlon Championship in Kona, Hawaii. At the 2016 IRONMAN World Triathlon Championship in Kona Nathan recorded a respectful time of 10 hours and 4minutes.

In 2017 Nathan went back to IRONMAN Australia in Port Macquarie and placed an impressive 3rd place in the 40-44 age group which qualified him for his second IRONMAN World Triathlon Championship. This is an amazing for feat for someone who has only been in the sport for 2.5 years.

Junior to Pro improvement
Adam was Peter Kerr's first triathlon coach. He coached Peter for 3 years. Over that time Adam progressed Peter from an athlete that was a Junior competing in the Victorian Gatorade Triathlon Series through to him achieving a Pro licence and competing in the Australian triathlon series over 2 years. Peter then moved onto training with Jono Hall who progressed him to make the Australian U/23 elite team in 2011. Under the tutelage of the VIS Peter has now gone onto become a podium finisher(3rd) at an ITU World Cup race.

2009-10 Season Results
2009 – 2010 saw a few mixed races this season with many up and down results due to injury or sickness at the wrong times of the season but I always like to take positives no matter whether they were a minor placing or top 10 result.
One of the positives that came from the season is that my swimming stroke and form is still there and competitive enough to be coming out with the leaders which gives me a chance to then break away on the bike leg.

This was shown in many races this season but unfortunately I could not crack a big result as variables did not fall in my favor. As people say “that is racing”.
